The Margin of Error is Slight

There is nothing scarier than trusting another human being. Some people seem to be so good at it. For me, I feel it was more of a learned skill. How is anyone to know whether that person will be there when you need them? How is anyone to know whether that person is even capable of being there? How does one know whether that person's own interests will not blind them from seeing what they need to see?

I would like to think that most people maintain good intentions. Most people aren't "out to get you", per se... they are, undoubtedly just out to get theirs. And everyone else is afraid you are just out to get yours.

The truth is that nobody can get their own without assistance. So what if we were all to focus on helping others get theirs? Would we all get ours? Trusting another human being can be, if done right, one of the most liberating and fulfilling experiences human beings can attain to. It is absolutely terrifying, but I decided a long time ago that it is worth all the risk.

mix the chemicals right dear, mix the chemicals right
yeah the margin of error is slight
mix the chemicals right dear
mix the chemicals right
yeah you know that you could
save my life

there is a risk, there's a risk when your dealing with love
you could snap my neck
any speed you drive can be dangerous

mix the chemicals right dear, mix the chemicals right
yeah you know there's a fine line between
mix the chemicals right dear, mix the chemicals right
cause i know what betrayal can mean

when this frame fails me
will i trust you to carry me through?
i know there's no such thing as safety
but i know what a promise can do.
will i trust you, will i trust you to carry me through?
i will trust you, cause i know what a promise can do
